Mini Implants and Lower Dentures

What
exactly is a mini dental implant? The MDI System that
we use is a miniature titanium implant that replaces
the root of a missing tooth and clips into retention
ball in the denture. The top of the implant is shaped
like a ball that snaps into the o-ring in your
denture. When seated, the denture gently rests on the
gum tissue. Usually we place four implants into the
patient's jaw. This is a relatively painless
procedure that usually requires only local
anesthetic. The denture is then adjusted to allow it
to snap onto the implants. This result in a tight
fit, with very little movement of the denture. Since
the procedure in so simple, the average patient is
usually able to eat a light meal within an hour after
surgery. So, if you or a family member has been
having a hard time with an upper or lower denture,
the mini implant system may well be the solution to
your problem. Contact us at
