Stem cells in baby teeth

There is a company in Austin, Texas called BioEDEN,
that is doing some very interesting work with the use
of baby teeth. The theory is that there are a large
quantity of adult stem cells in kid's baby teeth.
They claim that preserving the teeth could be used
later in life for treating many diseases including
Parkinson's disease, Alzheimers, juvenile diabetes,
spinal cord injuries and others. Stem cell therapy
has gotten a lot of press, and looks to be the future
of treatment for many of these diseases. I think that
future research is needed regarding this theory, but
it could turn out to be very promising. There website
is
www.bioeden.com.
